April Fools Breakfast

It came down to the wire again this year. I just couldn't figure out what I was going to do fun for the kids. After my April Fools dinner last year, which you can see here, they kept talking about what I would do this year. I couldn't disappoint. Well, after running through ideas in my head and a bit of help from Corey as well it all came together. We used a big roll of paper to cover the table as the table cloth. I took a plate and traced it with a crayon at each seat. I took a hot glue gun and glued the cups to their correct spot by their "plates". I then came up with a different utensil for each seat. I got this all set up the night before as you can see below.

I made mini muffins, mini pancakes, and cut up the sausage and bacon small enough and slid everything but the muffins on a toothpick. So, we had breakfast kabobs. I poured syrup in little cups which they were able to dip their food into. It was funny to see them try and pick up their drinks for the first time. I kindly provided everyone with straws so it was funny to see everyone lean over to get to their drinks.

Don't you just love everyone's expressions in the group picture? I mean come on...Is it really that hard to smile? lol Corey was rushing out to work but decided he needed some chocolate milk before he went. He was kind enough to let me snap a picture. :) You still have time to do something fun like this. Remember check out my dinner from last year here.

And just a personal side note....Mother Nature, enough with the snow. We get it. It was a cruel joke now be done with it.

I couldn't wait to see what you came up with this year. I didn't do anything for fools day, we thought it was Feb. 1st instead of April 1st, the snow confused us.
