April Fools Dinner

I was trying to figure out what I could do to make a fun April Fool's dinner for the kids. As I was racking my brain today I finally came to a decision. I decided to bring out only the best table cloth we had.....which actually was the newspaper spread out across the table. I made a fabulous drink....Thank you J-E-L-L-O! It was hilarious watching the kids try to take their first drink out of the cups. I also made mini chicken sandwiches. I used chicken nuggets and made some homemade mini buns. I used Banana split dishes for their plates and colorful forks or spoons for them to eat with. I really think the kids had a blast with it.

Of course we finally got them other cups for them to drink water from.

Doesn't this look fabulous? HA HA HA :)

For dessert we had hamburgers and fries.

Gotta love the fry sauce! :)

Actually, the hamburgers were vanilla wafers, Keebler mint cookies, and colored icing. The fries were made from sugar cookie dough which I cut to look like fries and then baked them and topped it off by drizzling icing on top. It was a lot of fun.

ok, I can't read your blog anymore, you are making me guilty. You are such a cute and creative and fun mom! I think I'm a little boring compared to you. Where do you get these ideas from? I think you should tell Chick-fil-A about your chicken nugget sandwiches. You could be rich! Everything looks so yummy. Your kids are lucky to have such a fun mom.

Ruthanne, how cute are you. Lucky kids, I love the drink idea. I'm so lost with my kids off track, I don't even know what day it is. Not sure I even realized it was April Fool's.

p.s. thank you for the dinner offer, after today and her being so needy I might take you up on it! Plus all of your fab foods you do...can't hurt! ;)
