Abducted by Aliens

Yes, that is what I am going to call it. I kind of took a break from it all.  Anywho.....Here is what we have been doing:

Festival of Trees....so fun to see all the creative trees and spend time together as a family.

I went with one of my very good friends to Gardner Village to see the elves. We both took our two little ones with us while our olders ones were in school. I have never been. It was fun and Joni and I were reminiscing about the elve displays they used to have at Valley Fair Mall....ahhhh...the good 'ol days.

Braxton received his Arrow of Light on December 15th. He actually received it along side one of his really good friends, Dallin. Our Cubmaster does a fabulous job in cub scouts.  Their little program was hilarious. The boys were giggling the whole time.

Isn't this man just so handsome? We just celebrated his 90th birthday.  I love my Grandpa so much he is an amazing man.

There is more but the pictures just haven't made it to the computer yet.  Hope you guys are all enjoying the season.

October Fun

I took my kids to Gardner Village to go see the witches.  They had fun going to see them but we missed everyone else that we usually go with.  The kids were way excited for Halloween. Brax thought he was too old to go this year so he chose not to do it and hung out with a friend instead. The younger three were excited to dress up and go out.  We went around to the grandparents and took pictures with them and then came home so they could go trick or treating in the rain.  Even though it was raining they still had fun.  Phew...glad that is over.

Thanks for the memories...

Ever since I was a little little girl we have gone to this cabin in Timberlakes during UEA/Fall Recess.  The only reason we have had this incredible opportunity is because our dear friend Janice has brought us there all these years.  She pretty much is like family to us.  Unfortunately, the cabin is in the process of being sold and so this was our last year to go.  I am forever grateful to Janice for allowing us this beautiful and wonderful opportunity of going and making these memories that will last a life time.  I share these final pictures with a heavy heart.  This is my happy place. As far as I am concerned THIS is the Happiest Place on Earth.

Looking Back..

First off, I can tell that I haven't posted anything for a bit because the process for uploading the pictures is totally different and totally confused my little brain for a bit.  And now one of my collages is totally messed up. So who knows what is going on.  The first two pictures are the kids going to school on their first day.  The last two are more birthday pics of Tayden's bday.  Ya, I'm a slacker.  But I needed to post these.

I also am giving this award to Kori at TheStoryofAPrincessandHerHair . Even when her daughter wanted her hair cut she still came up with adorable hairstyles to post.

I wanted to give this to other friends but it seems they have just received it.  Just thanks to all of you who blog and share your lives and ideas with us.

13 Years...

Happy Anniversary to the most thoughtful husband.  We had a wonderful time this weekend celebrating our 13 years together.  We went and saw "My Big Fat Utah Wedding" at the Desert Star Playhouse Saturday afternoon. It was hilarious.  If you have never been to a show there you really need to go. My wonderful parents watched the kids for us.  Later we dropped the kids off at Corey's parents and went Shopping at Kohl's and then went to dinner at Wingers. I really didn't want to do fancy.  I just wanted to have fun. It was really a lot of fun to just spend time together.

This morning Corey made Chocolate waffles and bacon.  Doesn't this look delicious?

At one point the kids hinted for us to go to our bedroom. The following series of pictures is what we found:

Are they just not the most thoughtful kids ever?  They were so cute. It made me cry and realized how blessed Corey and I are.  I wouldn't change a thing.

Happy Anniversary Honey! Here's to many many many more! xoxo

The Storm

I am really not sure if these pictures require any explaining. For those of us that lived through this storm the pictures explain it all.

Last of Summer fun....

Alright...I will try to finish up my summer posts.  I might have one more but right now I am taking it a step at a time. lol We had my brother from Texas come in for a two week visit.  It was fun to have them around.  My brother and his family that lives up in Idaho right now came down too so we were able to have a nice family reunion.  I love seeing all my brothers together.  I really do love them...Just don't tell them that. Below are pictures of our family gatherings.

Also, there is one of our trip to Lagoon that we did with our work.  My sweet niece Alexia came along to help us with the kids. She was GREAT! We had so much fun.

Below you can see my sweet Grandpa.  He's the one holding a flower. :) He turns 90 in December.  I love him so much.  What an amazing man he is.

Good Times...

Here I am rewinding again...Before the older kids got out of school in June I tried to do some fun things with the younger two.  I wanted them to think they had a fun mom.  Ha ha ha. Anyway, we went to Gardner Village for lunch one day.  They thought that was pretty cool. After we ate we walked around for a few minutes until they couldn't stand it any longer.  I promised I would bring them to see the animals. So, off we went to the Petting zoo.  They thought that was pretty neat.  I also was a sucker and gave in and let them ride the ponies.  It really was a fun day. They were all smiles.

We had some fun fourth of July celebrations.  We had our annual breakfast in my Grandpa's backyard.  Always yummy food.  The night before we had a BBQ with my family.  Don't you love my 4th of July mohawk?  Anyway, it was lots of fun.

We ended up having family over on the 5th of July in our backyard for a hot dog roast and Smores. Definitely Good Times!
