Pack Meeting

Here is a picture of how Braxton's cake turned out for pack meeting on Thursday night. (Of course he had a little help from his mom). Everyone had to come with a cake either decorated with a scout theme, the "Leaf it to cubs" theme for May, or decorate it however they wanted. I forgot my camera or I would show you all the cute cakes.

Tayden's dancing!

Hopefully you guys can hear this. If not we may have to do some tweaking with our music. This is HILARIOUS!!! Pay special attention to what Tayden says.

Melody Concert Finale

I really wish you all could have seen this concert. It was the cutest thing ever. The kids did such a good job learning these songs. Braxton has gone faithfully every Tues. and Thursday mornings to practice these songs. He had to be there by 8:00 every morning. They had a really cute performance back in December too. Last night was the end of the year concert so it was really kind of sad. I, of course, was a beaming mother. Braxton was so funny to watch with all his animation. He even had a solo. In the song "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" He got to yell out two words. They were "Not Yet". He did such a good job and had a nice loud voice too. I guess he takes after his mom on the loud voice. ;) He plans on singing in Melody next year too.

This picture was right after his solo!

This is from the song "The Telephone Hour".

Here he is posing for the camera right before they started singing.

A glimpse into our weekend.

This was Sunday afternoon. We were all sitting around in the backyard enjoying our popsicles.

Some of us looked like we enjoyed our popsicles more than others. Please excuse the following picture. I couldn't resist.

Because Clarissa let her popsicle melt all over her we had to turn the sprinkler on so she can get washed off.

Here we all are just bumming around enjoying our Sunday afternoon together.
The boys both had to pose for a picture with the football. Of course Braxton loves to get animated for the picture.

And my cutie patootie Clarissa. She just continues to be cute!

On Saturday we planted more vegetables in our garden. Hopefully we will do well this year. We had a pretty good garden last year so hopefully it will be just as good or better than last year.

This was on Friday! The weather was beautiful. Tayden would not take this hat off. After going on a walk and playing at the park he finally took it off. We were waiting for Braxton to come home and then spent the remainder of the day outside. I put lotion all over the kids. They may have a little bit of color here and there but they were good for the most part. I, on the other hand, forgot to put lotion on myself and I have been in pain since.

I guess this was leading into the weekend but I had to finish sharing a little about his Birthday. We had a few friends over for calorie sharing on Thursday night. : ) We always enjoy the company of friends. The picture to the bottom right shows off the sign the kids and I worked on. It was hanging out in front of our house all day. We all traced our hands on it and the kids had fun doing that. Thank you to all who wished him a Happy Birthday!

They say it's your Birthday...........

HaPpY BiRtHdAy CoReY!

I just wanted to wish my WONDERFUL Husband a Happy 33rd Birthday! Thank you for being a part of my life and being the best Daddy and Husband. We all love you so much. It seems crazy that 11 years ago today I "splurged" and took you to Sizzlers in Cedar City when we were dating. Now here we are four kids later. Would you ever have believed it then? I love you!

The Zoo

Samantha had her Kindergarten field trip on Tuesday. Corey went as a parent volunteer and took Tayden with him. So, Clarissa and I had the morning all to ourselves. They had a lot of fun at the zoo and Tayden was surprisingly pretty good.

Below is an excellent picture that Corey took. I have come up empty with a caption. Here's the deal, come up with a caption for the picture below and post it in the comment section. Whatever caption we think is the best will win a prize. I am not sure what it will be but I thought it would be fun. Good Luck! =)

Samantha's Tag.

1-Samantha Anne Hotton was born on March 9th, 2002. She came on her exact due date. She weighed in at 9 lbs. 4 oz. and was 21 inches long. That makes her the smallest baby her mommy had. =) The day she was born her Great Great Uncle Stuart passed away. We had just found out this news as we were leaving the house to go to the hospital to have her. It's amazing the circle of life. We were living with my parents at the time so she came home to the exact same house that I came home to. She also came home wearing the same pink dress that I wore when I came home from the hospital.

2-She was just a fun little girl. She really could cheese it up for the cameras when she wanted to. We really were excited to see her adorable dimples and they come out every time she smiles.

************Below-these pictures were taken when she was six months old.

************This was one of her pictures from when she turned one.

************We think this was taken at about fifteen months.

************Here she is probably just over a year and a half.

3- Sammy loved to dress up and still has fun doing so. She knows that her mommy will give in and put makeup on her some days. Some of her favorite things have been wearing nail polish and putting nail polish on her mom. Thank goodness she has improved as she has gotten older.

4- Her favorite foods are chicken, chicken, and chicken. I guess I can squeeze potatoes, roast, and Chocolate in there.

5- She loves doing arts and crafts. You can find her coloring pictures and making things on a daily basis. She would paint everyday if I would let her.

6- She loves her daddy very much too. (Somehow mom always gets put on the back burner when Daddy is around. =) ) She also loves her Grandparents. She has a little jealous tendency when another grandchild might be sitting on her Grandpa Fuller's lap. She somehow always seems to squeeze herself in there too.

She also loves doing activities with her Grandma Hotton and Aunt Ashlee. They take her and her brothers to the movies every so often. She just loves being around them.
7- Sammy loves her brothers and sister. She has always had such a close relationship with her brother Braxton. They are each others best friends. She has been a good "mommy" to Clarissa. She absolutely adores her. I wish her and Tayden could get along better. She does have a lot of fun with him though too.

8- She loves playing with her Barbies and dressing her dolls up. She was so excited to get a Barbie cake for her most recent Birthday.

9- Samantha also loves to help me in the Kitchen. She is always asking to help me with this or that. I guess I better let her help more so she can learn how to cook at an early age. Maybe it would give me a day off. =)

10- We love our Samantha. She brings so much joy into our lives. She loves Kindergarten and is really excited to go into second grade. She does really well at school. She has fun playing with her friends. Samantha doesn't mind being in the center of everything either =). We are so blessed to have her in our lives.

We tag Lainey Jessup, Peyton Rudy, and Olivia Lyman.
