Best of Both Worlds

My kids are such PoPsTaRs. If you don't know the routine push my mute button on my music at the bottom of the page and listen to these talented children of mine. :) Oh and if you can't figure out where the song is from it is the opening to Hannah Montana.

Sleeping Beauty

Earlier this afternoon I tried to lay down with Clarissa so she would go to sleep. I read her quite a few books and she just wouldn't fall asleep. She was grumpy before this so at least I got her to be happy again. Well just a few minutes ago I went looking for her and this is what I saw:

I turned the corner a bit more and saw this:

At least she found a book and finally fell asleep.

Corner Stone Sealing

This was such an AMAZING experience for me. I am so happy that my family was able to join me on this special day. I was so excited for my kids to see the Prophet. I know that Braxton was able to take in the spirit as he was filled with emotion as we were walking back to the car. For those that didn't know, I was asked to sing in the Choir that performed during the Corner Stone Sealing at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was an unforgettable moment for me. Here are a few pictures that Corey was able to take where he was standing at.

First Day of School

You think after so many years of school that the first day of school there would be no more crying. Once again someone has to be told it's going to be o.k........Fine fine fine, yes it was me. I have to be told it's going to be o.k. It is so sad to see my babies are growing up. Braxton is starting FOURTH grade and Sammy is starting SECOND grade. Where did the time go? They left this house with all smiles and excitement. They couldn't wait to get out the door. That breaks a mothers heart to see this. Maybe because they are getting older, or is it that I am left alone with out the extra help. :) I can't wait til they come home.

It only took a year

Last year, for Tayden's third birthday, his Grandpa and Grandma Hotton and Aunt Ashlee got him a bike. He was so excited. Problem was that he couldn't quite figure out how to push the pedals. . . . Until a couple of days ago. He surprised Corey and myself by finally pushing the pedals. He turns four in September so it only took him almost a year to figure it out. We are so excited for him. He will finally feel like he fits in with the older kids. This video was taken from my Cell Phone so it is not very clear. I think you'll get the idea.

The Happy Couple

I am so excited to announce the engagement of my youngest brother Troy and his fiance Katie. I am so extremely excited to finally have my final sister added to the family. Although I grew up with Five incredibly annoying...I mean five incredibly WONDERFUL brothers I have been blessed throughout the years to have such amazing sisters added to the pot. I thank my brothers for bringing these sisters into my life. I love each and every one of them greatly. They have all taught me so much. Also, when I married Corey I added three sisters from that side that I am blessed to know and love. I am so excited to have Katie join us even though for quite a while she already has seemed like part of the family. Congratulations you guys.
