Yearbook Yourself

We got this idea off of one of my friends blog and thought it was very funny. It is from the website www.yearbookyourself.com. We had a great laugh looking at all the pictures. All you do is insert a picture of yourself and it places your face in the picture. You may have to adjust your face here and there but it sure was a lot of fun. It's pretty easy to do once you get the hang of it. Anyway, here are some pictures of us and what we could have looked like back then.

I wanna lick the bowl

Wasn't it fun as a kid to get to lick the bowl!?!? Now as a parent I would think I have total control over licking my own bowl. But....because I love my kids I let them take it from me. It is probably better that way. "A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips." So, I asked Tayden if he would like to lick the icing bowl.

Tayden: YES!!!

(With his great big brown eyes he takes it with excitement.)

Me: Is it good?

Tayden: Uh-huh! (As he is licking his fingers)

A few minutes later...

Tayden: It's Dewicious!

I went over to see him. This is how he looked.

I had to take a picture.

Tayden: Let's make more mom!

Of course I only made one sheet of Zuchinni Brownies so I am not going to make more icing. I decided to give him a piece of brownie and he didn't want it at first.

Me: Fine, I will feed it to Clarissa. (I cut her off a small piece and fed it to her).

Tayden: (He mumbles something about Clarissa and His...he then finished eating the remainder of the brownie).

BBQ-ing with Grandma!

This post is mostly for the relatives that were not able to attend the family dinner. We missed you all and wished you were here. We usually only have a big gathering when Grandma comes to town but I guess we should do it more often. I love seeing my cousins and you would think that we would visit each other more often. I guess we should be better at it.

We had some great laughs. Topics that I was personally involved in were about Bee's, Bugs, Screaming, BYU, Vacationing, kids, Cruises, BYU, Repelling, Conference Center, and other random topics...oh did I mention we also talked about BYU! (Can you tell that there is a game coming up very soon!?!?!) Here are a few pictures from the evening.

Isn't this a bunch of good looking relatives!?!?! How did Wade escape a picture???? Oh well, better luck next time! We look forward to seeing you all again very soon.

First Day of School

I tried to get this up last night but it wasn't working. Yesterday was the first day of school. Braxton was heading off to Third Grade and Samantha was heading off to First grade. My two oldest were both going to school ALL day. What does that do to a mother's heart???? We are just lucky we still have tissues in the house. They both had a wonderful day and were even more excited to go back to school today. Tayden had a harder time this morning than he did yesterday. He sure does love his older brother and sister and misses them. I don't think Clarissa has too hard of a time with them gone. She did get really excited when she saw them walking home though. I sure miss all the help they were to me.

Our Rewards!

It is so much fun growing a garden. If you haven't done it yet you really need to. I absolutely LOVE being able to pull things from our garden knowing that we did this ourselves. Today we pulled our first red tomato. I am not a big tomato fan so Corey enjoys those a bit more than I do. I do enjoy them in the Salsa that he makes. We just wanted to share that all that "hard labor" pays off. O.K.....so it really isn't hard to dig a whole and throw a seed in it or place a starter plant in the whole. You just need to pull weeds occasionally and water. It's just a lot of fun!

My Sleeping Beauties

The other night I was in my room (probably reading Breaking Dawn) and suddenly realized how quiet it was down the hall. I decided to investigate and this is what I saw. Not only did the youngest two finally decide to fall asleep but Corey joined right in with them.
