I wanna lick the bowl

Wasn't it fun as a kid to get to lick the bowl!?!? Now as a parent I would think I have total control over licking my own bowl. But....because I love my kids I let them take it from me. It is probably better that way. "A moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips." So, I asked Tayden if he would like to lick the icing bowl.

Tayden: YES!!!

(With his great big brown eyes he takes it with excitement.)

Me: Is it good?

Tayden: Uh-huh! (As he is licking his fingers)

A few minutes later...

Tayden: It's Dewicious!

I went over to see him. This is how he looked.

I had to take a picture.

Tayden: Let's make more mom!

Of course I only made one sheet of Zuchinni Brownies so I am not going to make more icing. I decided to give him a piece of brownie and he didn't want it at first.

Me: Fine, I will feed it to Clarissa. (I cut her off a small piece and fed it to her).

Tayden: (He mumbles something about Clarissa and His...he then finished eating the remainder of the brownie).

Ah reverse psychology, it works everytime. When does that stop working anyway?

So, your blog is always playing country music. I don't recall you being such a country fan when I lived with you @!#&-teen years ago. Has it really been that long?

How cute!! I wish I would have been there to help him lick that bowl. It's totally worth wearing it on your hips. Trust me, I know.

I have to say... there are times I still lick the plate if I think my kids aren't looking :) (And I have been caught several times too.) Michael was doing it a couple of weeks ago after a particularly yummy dinner and when Mike (Sr) told him to stop, Mike (Jr) says... "Mom does it!!!!" I was speechless... What could I say???? (Awkward moment.) Don't worry though... I promise I won't do it at your house :)

How cute! I have to admit though, even as a Mom, I still always have to at least get a spoonful of the batter!
